Kindle...library and bookstore with you wherever
Take a whole bookcase with you wherever you travel.
This new product launched by Amazon has proved so
popular that it is out of stock this Christmas. True it
is a marketing ploy by Amazon to purchase their
products, but there is some remarkable new technology
inside of Kindle. Using a new product called “electronic
paper” the screen not only reads like real paper it also is
stingy on power. Left on, the reader will run on one
charge for two days. Read books anywhere and with
the free wireless access you can purchase a book or
paper wherever you can be. Titles are cheap too. In
fact, New York Times® Best Sellers and all new
release books are just $9.99. There are 90,000 titles
with more coming. Watch the video for more.

Technically Helpful

Gismos and gadgets a pastor can do without but can make ministry a whole lot easier

IRISPen...throw away your highlighter
Capture an illustration from today’s paper or summarize
an entire book. Working like a highlighter pen a
handheld scanner captures text for you to manipulate
on your computer. Hand scanners are not perfect and
you will have to check your scan for spelling accuracy.
But the scanner is probably more accurate than your
typing and much faster.

There are a few hand scanners on the market. C-Pen
has a good reputation, however they were difficult to
source online. The IRISPen has the most positive
customer reviews of the various products offered. The
drawback is that the scanner must be attached to your
computer with a USB cable.
